Reception Refurbishment - Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk
WS Training was moving into a refurbished listed building and approached Acorn to space plan and design the furniture for the reception refurbishment, canteen and breakout area, training room, chief executive’s office and PA’s office. Acorn also advised on the space planning of relocated desks and cupboards in the main office area.
The specification called for a mix of traditional and modern at a new office suite in a beautifully restored 12th century barn. A contemporary and stylish design was required that would not only complement the Grade I listed surroundings but also fulfil the needs of the company and its staff. 3D software was used for the space planning of new furniture and to arrange relocated units in the main office.
A bespoke, cherry veneered reception counter was designed and manufactured specifically to meet the needs of the staff. Black hide sofas finished the reception space and a mixture of low and high level stools, café bar tables and chairs were chosen for the break-out area. The cherry veneer finish was carried through into the bespoke design and creation of the Chief Executive’s desk, table and storage unit.
