Meeting & Conference Rooms
Great rooms produce great work! So it pays to get the basics right.
Sound proofing, ventilation & fresh air, temperature control, humidity, furniture, IT and other infrastructure will be taken into account.
Board rooms, meeting rooms, conference rooms, breakout rooms, private offices and collaboration spaces.
Tips for making a great meeting room
1. Consider the wider environment
Every work environment is different which is why it’s important to understand exactly what’s required in each case. For instance a meeting room in a busy office complex may need extra mitigations to ensure privacy and noise insulation.
2. Understand how the room will be used
The end use of the room will influence design decisions. Boardrooms that may be occupied for hours need to be comfortable, light and well ventilated, with communication links to the rest of the workplace. They can even include somewhere to make the coffee and chill the soft drinks by integrating tea-points or kitchenettes.
3. Keep everyone comfortable
A productive workspace is a comfortable one. People don’t work well if they are too hot or have backache! Choosing the right seating and furniture, as well as air handling systems controlling temperature, fresh air and humidity, will make all the difference.
4. Integrate your IT
IT networks can be seamlessly integrated into the area, for instance by putting presentations onto audio visual (AV) systems at the touch of a button.
Wires can be kept hidden thanks to wall-mounted screens and wireless technology, helping to keep your productive space clear of clutter and free of distractions.
PROJECT
A private meeting space or boardroom with built in video conferencing technology is a really useful resource.
All meeting spaces at Midwich had new AV equipment installed as part of this refurbishment.
